Last night, as you held my hand in the car, I felt safe. Your fingers intertwined in mine were so familiar and comforting. At that moment, I finally understood what the love songs were talking about. At that moment, I finally understood what love means; the sacrifices you have to make, the selfless/silly things you do, the constant thoughts about them every minute of every day, the way you smile just by hearing their voice/laughter, the butterflies you feel in your stomach by gazing into their eyes, the burst of happiness in your heart because you finally get to see them after a long day, and so much more. At that moment, I finally understood when you love someone, you would do anything for them.
You love me, for me. You never made me change, you tried your best to love me just the way as I am. You constantly assured me, that I was and am always good enough. And in my darkest place, you were my guide. Unknowingly, you 'changed' me still. I became a better person. You encouraged me, in my work and studies. I took my education path more seriously, I was more determined to do my job better. Because of you, I loved life so much more.
You did not only love me. You love my family. You always made sure we spent time with both our families equally. You're always so thoughtful, in bringing food for them, whipping up meals, and just hanging out at my house just to spend time together. You are always trying to plan activities to do together with them. And I swore my heart skipped a beat when you said "It's our family now". :")
Besides the "I love you"s and "I miss you"s, I rarely express how I feel. I know it frustrates you and drives you crazy, especially when I'm upset or mad. Sorry baby, I guess I still have difficulty actually putting thoughts into words. But know that, sometimes just having you by my side with your arms wrapped around me, is more than enough. I just need to know that, despite any tiffs or misunderstandings, what we have will never change.
So many words I don't know how to actually list them in order right now. All the cliche sayings, all the love songs, all the romantic scenes, I get it now. You are the most amazing thing that has happened in my life so far, and I am so insanely lucky to be yours. Come what may, I never want to forget this amazing blissful feeling. I only hope that you know I love you more than anything in the world.
